One more reason to feel safe with Flam’s is our comprehensive and updated list of licenses and credentials. You wouldn’t see a doctor without knowing his credentials. You wouldn’t seek tax advice from someone who simply claims to be a CPA. You need to be sure. With that in mind, here are current photo reproductions of our pertinent licenses and other documents (click any image to zoom).

Important: In order to qualify for a California state contractors license each year, a locksmith must provide proof of workers comp insurance. This is vital protection for you if one of our workers should become injured working on your property.

1. State Contractor’s License... We carry all four state contractors licenses while most security companies don’t even carry one. The word 'contractor' must appear before the license # on all advertising.

2. State License  from the Bureau of Consumer Affairs...required for both owners and individual locksmiths as evidence of fingerprint check. This is the license that most locksmiths refer to when they advertise they are licensed but beware, it is not a contractors license and is no measure of professional locksmith qualifications.

3. Local LAPD police permit...although just a duplication of the state license it is still required to do business in the county of Los Angeles.

4. Bonding and Liability Insurance... Flam's is bonded and carries liability insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000 which is always required by commercial accounts. Ask for a certificate of insurance, showing the limits.
